The government will hold the Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations for 2022 across Bangladesh from November 6.
A total of 12,03,407 examinees are expected to sit for the examinations across the country.
The number of examinees is less by 1,96,283 than the past year.
Education minister Dipu Moni, while addressing at a press conference at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Wednesday, said that all the coaching centres across the country would remain closed between November 3 and December 14 to prevent question leak.
A total of 6,22,796 male examinees and 5,80,611 female examinees from 9,181 educational institutions will sit for the HSC and equivalent examinations at 2,649 centres till December 13, the minister said.
She said that the examinations would last for two hours and the examinations would be held in reduced syllabuses.
The conference was attended by deputy education minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and other officials of the education ministry.
